Sixth London Older People’s Assembly -
"Positive ageing and the city: health and social care for older Londoners"
A conference organised for older people by older people
Over 200 people attended LOPSG's sixth annual London Older People's Assembly "Positive ageing and the city: health and social care for older Londoners", which took place at City Hall on Monday 7 July.
This year's event was themed around the key issues of health and social care, and offered attendees the chance to debate topics such as keeping active and healthy, social care eligibility, and the importance of lifelong neighbourhoods. Key note speakers included the new Mayor Boris Johnson, Sue Collins from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Cllr Steve Reed and Cllr Stephen Carr.
A post conference report will be produced shortly and will be available to download from this website.
