IS YOUR COUNCIL DOING ENOUGH TO ENSURE HIGH QUALITY HOME CARE?

LINk LONDON is doing a London-wide survey to compare quality control of home care in the different boroughs.  By home care we mean paid-for carers who visit older people in their homes to help them get in and out of bed or wash or to do cooking or cleaning or shopping.  We are interested to see what councils are doing to make sure that home care in their boroughs is of high quality.  Quality control is also called contract monitoring.

If you know about the situation in your borough or feel you would like to find out, please contact David Hogarth (hogarth@hogarthrep.fsnet.co.uk)

Access London Theatre

Enjoy London theatre?

If you thought you couldn't enjoy London theatre anymore, why don't you try an assisted performance? You can go to an audio-described performance where you put on a discreet headset and have an informed live commentary on what's happening on stage, or a captioned performance where the script and sound effects of the play or musical are displayed on a screen near to or as part of the action on-stage. You can also attend sign language interpreted performances.

There are over 350 assisted performances in London theatres throughout the year - from West End musicals and plays to cutting edge contemporary drama. To find out more and to receive your Access London Theatre brochure three times a year, email access@solttma.co.uk, call 020 7557 6700 with your choice of format (print, large print, Braille or tape) or visit our website to find out the latest listings.
