Les Evans

Les has been involved with LOPSG from the very start, as Vice Chair for two years, as Chair for three, and now as a Committee Member. He distributes almost two hundred copies of Strategy and around 50 copies of Mature Times.

Les is a member of Greenwich Pensioners Forum, the London Executive of the NPC and the London Retired Members Council of the CWU. Awarded Honorary Member status of the SE London Postal & Counters Branch, national Silver Badge holder from previous trade union. Les is a staunch trade unionist and he joined the National Union of Seamen on the very first day he started work. He has held continuous TU membership for over 61 years.

Les considers involvement in the pensioner movement as a continuation of his previous activities.
