Dot has been an active campaigner for social and democratic rights throughout her life. She is Vice President of the National Pensioners' Convention and Secretary of its Greater London Region, and a committee member of the London Older People's Strategies Group and the Greater London Pensioners' Association.
She represents the NPC on the steering committee of the Keep Our NHS Public, Save Our Post Offices and Women's Pensions Network.
